Terrible workmanship throughout the house. Undone caulking and painting. The garage walls dont match because the field was too lazy or cheap to have the subs redo one side after they cut it about two inches short. Backyard door does not close smoothly. Broken pipes outside my home. Front door and garage door frames were not smoothed out where screws were used to install them. The foundation has rust leaking out the side from exposed rebar. There's a crack as well. Missing two sprinklers that are on my plans but were never installed. I'm very disappointed in the shotty work the field manager was responsible for overseeing. I would not recommend Pulte if this field manager is still building. I've laid out these issues in a previous email and have yet to hear back from Pulte. ... More

Plenty of issues with the house with workmanship and quality. I wouldn't be able to recommend Pulte just with the number of issues we've had with them. They did go to lengths to make everything better but that only eases the sting a bit. The house was A COMPLETE MESS the day of closing. Landscaping was not in. Carpet throughout the house had to be replaced a couple weeks after moving in. We had to continually nag the builders to get things fixed that were not right. Then it would be "fixed" and we would have to get things "fixed" again. Second time having a home built and was a nightmare. I honestly would blame most of this on Plute contractors and them rushing to get work done due to the amount of work. But Pulte really needs to either find new contractors or do a better job of inspecting and having them come fix their work vs. having the customer inspect and tell Pulte that the work wasn't done correctly. When all is said an done, I would go back and pick a different builder. If it wasn't for the sales rep Molly and the Construction Manager Daniel, we would have tossed in the towel. ... More

Pulte looks to be a better builder versus some of the other alternatives. There are some things which do not make sense to me, but I think you may find that with most builders (such as light switch placement, gaps in the garage below the garage doors etc.). After a not-so-happy sales, design center and finance experience(being very polite here), I was won over by the building super and the build process overall. ... More

It was a bit of struggle with Pulte on all accounts (construction, sales office, mortgage) from start to finish. Construction issues were covered up, we were told some of the staff cut corners (by other staff) and given a multitude of misinformation by sales, and our mortgage representative had little knowledge of the products he was selling. In regards to construction, the paint is already chipping, cracks in ceilings (1 month in), house was not properly cleaned upon move-in (still tape marks all over floor) and just general lack of attention to detail. We are happy to finally be in our home, but would not buy a Pulte home again. The silver lining is that some of the upper management (construction and mortgage) were extremely helpful, professional, and responsive--it just took us a while to get to the point of us contacting (and end up working with) them during this process. ... I have entirely too much negative feedback to share but let’s just leave it there - i’ve lived in the house almost 4 months and they are still coming in and out of my home to fix things that should have been done before we closed.

From the street it looks amazing, after being in the house for a few months you find all the things not done or half done. - Paint on the outside stone (a lot) from when they painted the trim - Drywall tape coming off, multiple spots - They used broken base when doing the trim. - Bad caulking job everywhere - The dampeners in the attic were not even hooked up to power and are set to off. (WOW) - They used 1/4 round on the base in the main area of the house because they couldn't schedule the trim after the flooring was done, you do this when you screw up. - 3 doors didn't even latch when you shut them. - I'm still finding issues. ... Drive way is cracking after 7 day of move in , most of the issues that we pointed out before the closing never got fix , tile floor is uneven, trim work is really poor , caulking in some areas looks like a 5 years old did it , you can see where on the walls where the paint was touch up , a lots of areas with a rough texture , we had a irrigation leak for almost a month , over spray in windows on the outside , trims in the house not painted right , overall a bunch of little stuff that will take my time out of work so I can be there for the bunch of vendors that will be going in and out my house , a big inconvenience because no one from pulte will Pay me for that time that I’ll be missing ... We were told our house would have a door from the garage to the back door. It does not. When we asked they stated it was mark off of the plans we signed. Yes marked off AFTER we signed them. They have yet to really attempt to fix this. The workmanship in the house is lacking. There are foot prints in my driveway and metel rhubarb is showing through. They laid my drive way very inefficiently. We cant even get into the third car garage without driving over the sprinker that they set right at that corner. The other houses on the block have a much different angle for their drive way. ... More

Biggest mistake I ever made, was buying from Pulte. Workmanship is terrible. Warranty issues brought to attention months ago still have not been addressed. If you are buying from Pulte, be sure to get a 3rd party inspection prior to close, and refuse to close until every deficiency is addressed. ... More

This is the second home from Pulte we purchased because of the quality work based on the first one. Unfortunately, the quality of the workmanship and materials on this new house is so poor, we just can’t even compare to the first one or even some fixer uppers. Doors and door frames are refurbished with new paints over them but still can be seen visibility on the outside with dents and uneven surface. Most windows don’t seem new with serious scratches on the handle bars. Shower tub also with serious scratches. People not cleaning after themselves, which left paints in the kitchen sink and shower. The wall in the garage is made of the cheapest material I’ve even seen for a new build, if I had not asked the site manager to fix some of the stuff, one would not believe it’s a new house. All of the above plus other small details not worth mentioning, are just one would not expect for purchasing a brand new house. Minimum zero attention to detail and carelessness are how I would describe this new build. I would like to invite the senior leadership in Pulte headquarters to come check out the quality of work and see for themselves and tell me if this is what a new house should be nor would they be happy with it. I got tired of asking the site manager to fix this and that, I rather deal with it myself after work because I knew there was no way to demand further, which was going to waste a lot of my time, plus the site manager had a tight schedule and other demands from other home owners. On the flip side, the site manager was great. I’m just disappointed at the materials that Pulte decided to use for a new house, maybe it’s just mine. ... More
