We were told our house would have a door from the garage to the back door. It does not. When we asked they stated it was mark off of the plans we signed. Yes marked off AFTER we signed them. They have yet to really attempt to fix this. The workmanship in the house is lacking. There are foot prints in my driveway and metel rhubarb is showing through. They laid my drive way very inefficiently. We cant even get into the third car garage without driving over the sprinker that they set right at that corner. The other houses on the block have a much different angle for their drive way. ... More

Looking at the model home we thought Pulte was good, even during construction when we saw some issues they promised to fix everything before closing. But it has been only a month since we moved in and seeing lot of cracks on dry walls, hearing water flow thru the walls, noticeable uneven flooring, etc.. wish we had noticed these issues before closing, now no response from Pulte to fix any issues. ... Biggest mistake I ever made, was buying from Pulte. Workmanship is terrible. Warranty issues brought to attention months ago still have not been addressed. For the price I paid I expected better quality and polish to the workmanship. So many cosmetic flaws and oversights. Moulding and trim are beat up. Walls have varying degrees of texture when they should be smooth. Different paint colors used on a wall. So many things that are disappointing to continue to discover. Pulte makes these big customer experience promises, but no is reaching out or following up on my requests. Responsiveness has been so poor. The house and it's finish feels and looks like a rush job- and that was after pushing back closing. I never would have accepted this house in the condition it is in if I wasn't going to be homeless after they changed to closing date. ... More

My wife and I have purchased 10 new homes during our marriage, (military and then post military job moves), and while Pulte was one of our favorites (Centex was the other favorite) this experience was a complete nightmare. The subs building the project were horrible, incompetent, would fix one thing and make 3 more errors, it was almost like they were both unsupervised but also incapable of the level of work required to deliver a standard track home. I saw them leave huge amounts of trash (lunch bags, old coke bottles, constructure trash, in the center island and then put the marble island top on without removing it. The quality of the wall orange peel was awful, the appliances were dented or bent, our fridge had a deep scratch in the front, our iron railings were installed by someone who had never done them before and they installed them wrong and argued they had no standard for how to install them, the stairs creak like this is a 100 year old home, and much more. Each time we identified a list of things to fix, they would fix and then make many more errors, e.g., we'd ask them to repaint the window sills and then they would leave a circle of paint on the floor. The delivery manager worked hard to fix many things but maybe the subs were simply so horrible, and Pulte wouldn't fine or fire the subs and the delivery manager was simply managing far too many homes to be on top of everything, but the experience was so bad, we decided to sell the home the day after we moved in. I have pictures of all the homes in the neighborhood with ridiculous errors while being built. Huge amounts of trash in the front, or inside the home while building, silly ways of nailing wood together, terrible finish quality (it was like a bunch of junior high kids building a house for the first time). We even saw them (I have pictures) dump the prebuilt rafters for a home into a pile in the front yard like a pile of pick-up-sticks and then use a fork lift with chains to pull one out of the pile at a time and put them on the roof. Each was bending in strange ways such that they probably damaged the integrity of the prebuilt rafters. I also have pics of multiple houses where they had water leaks (before closing) and so they had to cut holes into the ceiling to repair and then pull up the carpeting to let it and the floor boards dry out. Who wants a house that has been flooded?? Pulte management needs to take a serious look at what happened in this neighborhood and how prevalent it is across the country. I would like to know that Pulte senior leadership knows about this and is responding. ... More

Trustworthiness is frequently surfacing due to how the Pulte Group responds to the homeowner once the property is turned over to the owner. This brief survey does not allow for specifics only general response(s). The longer that I own the home, the less Pulte is interested in my concerns, expectations or grievances. This is across the board from sales to repairs. Talking to other homeowners in my neighborhood, they have similar experiences also. ... More

The mortgage and title process experience were great. I was able to get answers to questions in a timely matter. That is not true with customer service with their responsiveness to issues. Every call went to voicemail. I did not get call backs or in a timely manner. You will have some things like not having the air conditioning turned on, or the heat which is frustrating. It took 3 weeks after I moved in to get a trash can. This was the responsibility of the hoa and their hired management company. What were the homeowner of the condo to do in the interim? The move-in experience needs to be better handled. I received no welcome from the HOA and no way to get help when I truly needed it. ... More

There are many parts of our home that are very unprofessionally finished-Front door was installed crooked, brick edge along front step has a hump and not laid flat, sloppy painting throughout, several windows had significant scratches in the glass, woodwork is very poorly lined up and stuffed with caulk, then painted over, there was a chunk out of our patio which was patched and now visible, there is cracking in the concrete driveway, the interior doors are cut way too short, the insulation is of very poor quality and we can hear right through the walls to the outside, we are starting to think there was no insulation in the exterior walls? ALL of the materials used throughout are of very cheap quality. We have been dealing with an issue of the construction workers for over a month now and supposedly Pulte reps will be meeting with the residents soon to address the many upset residents and their concerns. The workers have their music obnoxiously loud and they watch for the builders rep and as soon as he starts to drives up the street they turn it off. They obviously know they're doing something wrong, they are extremely sloppy and our streets are filled trucks, dirt, garbage and lots of nails all over- many residents have had nails in their tires, they park on both sides of the street so residents, garbage trucks, movers, etc. are blocked and can't get in. They seem to have no regard for the home owners who live and no pride in their quality of work. The way they build homes is as lazy and sloppy as they portray themselves in the neighborhood. Extremely disappointed in our new home and feel like we will need to sell in the next year or two before the house starts to have major issues. ... More
