the sale representative and field manager are great people. They are responsive. The building is high quality and get a very good rating from our private inspector. There are some small issues with the interior cosmetics though.

Buying a home from pulte homes was by far the best decision I ever made. There were extremely professional and helpful every step of the process. If I ever change homes I will make sure that my next house is also build my Pulte also.

The Pulte team that worked with us to build our Vanderbilt model at Chapel Cove was excellent. This includes the sales rep, design team, build team and field manager, as well as the mortgage team. Everyone was very responsive to our issues and were attentive to our questions/requests, especially as we weren't local and were only able to visit the home site on a few occasions. They addressed any issues that we identified and have even been helpful post-close with any questions or concerns that we had. There have been some cosmetic issues that I noticed before I moved into my house. After moving in I have found a few more which (for the most part) have been addressed. Pulte has a cookie cutter approach to home building and they don't deviate from the pattern. The good news is continuous improvement by doing the same thing better. Great location. The townhome finished with my requested upgrades perfectly, and was “on time”. Since moving in, there have been fit and finish issues with the construction that need work (missing caulking in kitchen leading to bugs in the house). And the continued construction outside the house each morning at 7 limits any opportunity for sleep. I knew the latter though going into the purchase. Dimensions of the hallway/stairs make your furniture choices very limited. Something I didn’t consider pre purchase. Otherwise a great place. I receive many compliments on how nice the place is. Looks great from the outside, and neighbors are quiet. This was the first time we had a new house built and will definitely be the last. We had no idea what we were getting into. The day we put our deposit down we were instructed that we had to choose the plan we wanted that day. Next we were instructed to meet with the interior design team to pick out what we wanted inside the house. We were allotted only 3 hours to pick out everything from granite to cabinets , flooring and paint. I wished we were given more time as 3 hours is not near enough time to decide. Then 2 weeks before we closed there were several issues that needed to be corrected including the master bathroom tile, drywall and trim. After taking down the tile we were told the framing was off and that’s why the tile was uneven. We found that every time they would come in to fix something they would screw up something else. We feel like the cheap laborers they hire are careless and amateurs. We felt like it was a never ending process. I have to say they have been good about getting things fixed but why are we having to get alot of things fixed with a new house? We can understand a few things but not like this. After submitting an offer that was excepted, a deposit was made, and a very important item that was agreed upon was taken away. It’s tough and I could forfeit my deposit I was told I would not get the item after three weeks into this and there was nothing they could do about it. I was told I could forfeit my deposit if I didn’t like it. I was hoping after communicating back-and-forth for weeks on this item that it will come to a resolution that I was very happy with and unfortunately it did not. Another frustration I have concerns a privacy fence request that I submitted weeks ago. I have been told that my fence request and anything to do with ARC is on hold because we have no HOA. I don’t understand this as the majority of the homes being built in the same neighborhood are all getting fences. In conclusion I was disappointed with the sales team and management of sales, but very happy with the efforts of the of construction and project managers. I highly recommend working with a smaller, more localized builder or purchasing an existing home and working with a contractor you can pay more attention to detail with along the way in order to customize. Overall, we like our home because we chose the neighborhood over the floor plans to begin with, but we are also willing and able enough to fix the mistakes made by the builder on our own and with the help of [capable] contractors. Multiple issues addressed prior to closing were not resolved. Closed in March issues not resolved until May - this included a leaky roof. Would not purchase from Pulte again.
