The overwhelming defects in our new home and the lack of response to our concerns is heartbreaking. We watched our home being built on a regular basis and pointed out deficiencies and wanted them addressed to no avail. We moved in and are now living a nightmare in trying to resolve workmanship and defective materials. Contractors and Manufacturers are at odds and we are their victim of circumstance. I WOULD NOT recommend Lennar. I can’t even count the number of things that went wrong which started with permitting the wrong elevation. We caught so many issues then were made to feel like we were being difficult when we’d bring them up to the builder. We were trying to have items corrected before it became too late to do so. Examples of what we caught were: house painted the incorrect color both inside and out, tile stopped and squared prior to where it should have been & had to be redone, floor plug placed in incorrect location (would have been in the walking path and not under furniture had we not moved it to the same location as in the model home), cabinets hung too low (washer lid would not have cleared when open - they were 2-3” lower than model), tile placed in area that was supposed to be carpeted, incorrect light fixture hung in dining room, incorrect stain on railing to upstairs, kitchen island placed in incorrect location (by 18”!!! Then the prewires for the pendant lights had to be moved as well). Then because the house “sat” in the elements (heat & rain), all the exterior wood that was not protected by tyvek or shingles became warped and had to be torn off and replaced (including the flooring in the 2nd story). Given the fact that rework is the most expensive part of any manufacturing process, I would have thought Lennar would want to prevent these errors from occurring, but they didn’t seem to care at all. The house took 15 months to build which seemed pretty ridiculous. We ended up the last house to complete on our street - we should have been done earlier then at least 10 others that started after ours. The entire process was maddening and I would never do it again and never recommend Lennar as they just don’t seem to care about their customers. ... More

I would give 0 stars if I could!!!!!! My experience with Lennar has been HORRIBLE outside of the person I worked with in finances. I have been lied to by the sales department, construction manager, lawn company, HOA and warranty company. My home was poorly built and now I have to put in service request to have patch work done, when they people doing the work decide to show up. When someone FINALLY comes, rather complete the work the error is pushed off on another trade. I really wish Lenna would stand behind the quality they advertise during the showing. ... More

Where do I start? first, there have been some large cracks in the basement floor. then, they installed used patio door. and the biggest mistake by the builder, they dropped my garage floor. this means that the floor had to be lowered so that the incline from the street would not be too steep. BUT by doing this, they had to add steps in the garage to enter the house. those steps took away parking space and now I can not fit my car on that side of the garage. therefore, I have a 2 car garage door but only 1 car fits inside. those are the biggest issues. some of the minor ones were, they missed several spots when painting, there was a big gap between the front door and the floor. some of the windows had to be replaced, some spots in the master bathroom were not caulked. the long panel window above the patio door had to be replaced because condensation was building INSIDE the 2 panes. also, had to replace 2 panels of the garage door because they had dents and holes. A 3rd panel should have been replaced because of the holes but instead, was given insulation tape to cover the holes. I didn't have any landscaping until 5 months after i closed on the house. I am still waiting for the patio door to be replaced. I have no idea what is going to happen with having a 1 car garage after paying lots of money for a 2 car garage. ... More

Extremely sloppy work done. Most workers are so creepy and scary, you don't want them to come back to fix anything. I would not buy from Lennar again. They are irresponsible, rude, and dont care about you as the buyer. Having a lot of issues with the home still and they are not fixing. My wife and I were made homeless because they were trying to make their numbers for the month. They asked me to walk through the home at 11PM in the dark. Don’t trust when they tell they will fix things ,it was not done during the first walk, nor the second, and it took three months and a half to be able to move in! Horrible frustrating experience

Workmanship is bad. Very low quality checks. The website does not allow you to keep track of the issues/timeline that you submitted. They do it on purpose. You have to call everyday for 1-2 weeks to fix one issue.

We have built houses with five other builders and Lennnar was the worst experience. There is no consistency with work orders because the staff is constantly changing. The construction part was very sloppy and attention to detail. We didnt even get towel racks or toilet paper holders and we paid over 300k for this house. We were told this community would have walking trails, a playground, and a picnic area and none of that has been built. The pool is a joke! It's tiny for the size of our neighborhood and don't even have a lock on it so there are constantly trespassers there destroying what we pay for. We purchased a brand new house not a fixer Right? We only purchased from Lennar because of the lot. Our house sits on hole 3 at Copper River Golf Course. Before we moved into our home we noticed water coming up the grout of the tile in the living and kitchen. 5 months later the problem is still not fixed and Lennar is totally dragging their feet fixing the issue. The townhome is not level, the trim work and cabinets are all crooked. There was holes in the subflooring they just put carpet over and never thought we would find. Our backsplash was cracked and they didn’t want to fix. They installed the wrong size island counter top, wrong kitchen sink, wrong facets in every bathroom, wrong shower heads in every shower, and wrong door handles on all the exterior doors. Very poor and shoddy work. They forgot to add gas line in patio and did that the day of closing in a haphazard manner and not the way it was in the agreed plan. The dug the backyard and were not willing to reimburse anything. The fans started making noise the week after and they are not willing to fix or replace them. Their whole customer service is a charade and they try not to fix anything. When I refuse to sign off on a ticket I raised for Fan issue, they closed the ticket on their end saying the issue is fixed without any explanation. My experience with Lennar was terrible. The workmanship and attention to detail was extremely poor and I will never buy another Lennar home or recommend Lennar homes to anyone!
