I really had higher expectations from Lennar but I feel it fell short on several fronts...not going to recommend to any one. ..I would probably advice to stay away from Lennar given the price of the house and poor material and workmanship...sad !!

We just recently bought a home in Rosena Ranch from a Lennar community. Since we've moved in, we have had to call service quite a few times for issues that should not be happening in a new home. For example, our handrail on the stairs are already having separation from the wall. It is under warranty and will get fixed, but it is very inconvenient especially because the contractors have to schedule so far out. These things should not be happening in a new home. I don't know if I trust Lennar's workmanship. The backyard was done very cheaply as well and all the neighbors complain about the amount of mulch that was put in. ... More

Our advisor was very knowledgeable but unfortunately, he had a family emergency during our home buying process from the very beginning and was told to contact 2 other Lennar reps if we had any questions. They were no help at all. Never let us know what was going on and never returned calls. This was the most crucial time as we were in the actual home buying process. When we moved in, we had quite a few issues with things around the house and to get those things fixed it was just a nightmare. For example, as we did our walk through, we noticed that the paint on the outside of the house did not match the majority of the wall and were told they accidentally painted it the wrong color. It took about a month or so to get anybody out there to fix it and we were told that the painters came out and fixed it, twice! Really? Because it was the exact same as when we did our walkthrough. It was never fixed. I could go on and on about all the issues we had. We were and are still very disappointed at this new home buying experience. This wasn’t our first home we purchased, but it was our first brand new home and we expected much better than what we got. After our experience, we probably won’t buy another Lennar home. Lennar’s house plans are very well done for modern living. Materials are as advertised. Home care warranty is practically worthless. And their people can be spiteful if you get upset with their poor service.

The workmanship was poor. Lots of issues to attention to detail. When I complained, the construction managers response was that the brand new home was meant to be lived in. That response floored. I would not buy from Lennar again.

I had a 1-2 week repair service in the bathroom. Due to systemic problems with the warranty department it took 4 months to complete. I had to file a BBB to get their attention.

Don't expect your house to be built of the same quality as purchasing from single person or smaller company. I bought my house at the highest value and two months later I see other houses that look exactly like mine decrease by almost 20k. I understand it’s all about the market but that was drastic. The craftsmanship is ok but I notice the very small details that aren’t up to par. None of the air vent squares are straight and are slanted awkwardly. The sprinklers don’t work and I already called to put in an order and it was very bad customer service. The paint is chipped in some places. The layout is horrible. Yes it’s updated counters but the counters are so small it’s quite pointless. The driveway is the worst! Two car garage (barely) 1 car driveway which is horrible horrible horrible!!!! Please pay close attention to concrete work that is inferior to most builders in the region. The landscape provided is far the worst I have seen for a new home. (many dead or dying, cheap plants)

Closed on the home with items still outstanding. Assurances given that all would be taken care of in short order. Not to delay the closing and moving plans, etc. we went ahead and closed. Now we still have outstanding items, no contact with our superintendent who conveniently leaves a message on his voicemail that he does not check voice mail messages, and to email instead. In my home inspection more than 80 defects were identified to be fixed. They did not fix even 10%. They missed almost all appointments.
