We bought at Gala in Folsom and love the house and neighborhood. During our preliminary walk through, there were a lot of issues with attention to details. We were very vocal and met with the supervisor and insisted that the finishes needed to be comparable to the model home. That required changing out windows, repainting trim, cleaning up caulking, etc. We are keeping a list of repairs for the 90 day walk through, including another window that is inoperable and a faulty doorbell/security system. Keith has been quite helpful. I am somewhat disappointed the landscape quality and the terrible soil we have to work with. The clay is terrible around the house to work with and create a landscape to be proud of!

Patio cover would have been nice. Finish carpentry is less than stellar. Paint runs all over the trim work. Texturing on walls is bad. Super cheap carpet pad. Other than these things we love the house we love Dave, Brittany. They are great

The Quality of the painting leaves a lot to be desired and the workmanship is extremely poor. Aside from that we have that some things we have we were told if we did not see it before closing then there is nothing that can be done. We love the design and style of the house. The layout is great for our family. However, there are a number of quality issues with the completed workmanship. The interior paint has a good amount of flaws, caulking is failing after only a few months, pieces of trim are separating from each other, the drywall finish is not great. I've been in construction for 5 years, so I understand the home is settling and creating some of these issues. When you do the walk there are places that you don’t look at. The kitchen cabinets on top were broken, uneven, wrong cuts. The wall over these cabinets had a whole. You only see this if you go On top of the kitchen counters. My tub makes a noise like if a tractor is in there. I submitted a tickets since December, they went to check it and said they would come fix it, it’s been over a month since. To explain clearly when you upgrade to granite that it is not sealed and may get stained and for the warranty managers within the first 6 to 3 days should just let you know not lead you on that it would be done by the granite company. But I do have to say that Dennis one of the construction managers was definitely one that followed through with every request. And Michael definitely tried to do the best that he was able to do our sales consultant Nicole was spectacular and extremely professional and very helpful I would definitely recommend for her to always be at the front line of any sales office for an hour I would like this comment to be extended to her ... There are few things I had communicated with the builders project manager which have still not been fixed. so not happy about it, there is also a hole in the roofs plywood (not leaking) but example of poor material used. I'm still in my 1 year warranty and will put in tickets to get them fixed, but this is just how my feelings are for an investment like this. ... More
