Lennar rushed us to close at the end of the month but the house was not ready. I gave 1 star on craftmanship because we have so many issues. Tiles are not level, trim work is poor, lumps under carpet, upstairs floor uneven, just to name a few issues.

Build quality and attention to detail was lacking. Be certain to make sure your house is completely finished before closing as they will attempt to rush it off the books. Once closed everything has to go through warranty. Interior painting option of very low quality. Save yourself money and have someone do it right the first time. I’m extremely disappointed, with the price I’m paying for a house like this I expect small problems if any. I’ve had major construction done to an upstairs closet, missing paint in parts of my house, spots with no texture, water damage to a door, door hinges ripping from the walls. I’m beyond annoyed with how much time it takes to get these problems resolved. They try to do what they can to make it right but I am tired of construction, I’m tired of constantly having trades at my house fixing things that shouldn’t have been overlooked or assumed I as the homeowner wouldn’t notice. This is a serious problem! I don’t understand why it’s so hard for Lennar and the contractors to just slow down and do it right the first time so you don’t have to have 100 warranty calls on one home. It is not that hard to just slow down make sure you’re doing your best work because it saves a lot of hassle on both sides for the homeowner and for the company Lennar. The work that has been done to my home is less than satisfactory and I’m literally at my wits end of dealing with this company any longer. Lennar has changed the beginning of recreation building 3 times. The also can't control the contractors who block driveways, blast music all day and toss garbage on lawns daily.

Be sure to have a home inspection prior to closing. Lennar as a company is not the main issues relating to the overall build. They need to oversee the sub-contracting as the quality is not there.

Just know that if something is broken or not working properly be prepared to wait a loooong time to have it fixed because of mishandled scheduling issues with subcontractors. Also, the repair work can only be done on week days forcing you to take days off from work only to have the workers not show up which is incredibly frustrating. Love the new home but it was delivered incomplete. It has taken almost 4 months and a lot of nagging, requesting, demanding, etc. to get the home actually finished. For example, we had missing paint in places, doors which needed adjustment where you could see light from the outside, missing technology items which would allow the home to actually be "connected", over 40 cracked pavers, a missing backsplash, over-paint on all the metal coping in every bathroom, etc. I could go on. It was really a shame to have the home delivered in such an incomplete state just so corporate could book an accounting entry for the fiscal quarter. Ideally, 2 more weeks, a little TLC, and attention to detail would have made a world of difference in the customer experience and delivery of a finished home. Instead we were shot through a closing cannon and then had to nag for months to get the product completed properly. What good is temporarily increasing shareholder equity for a quarter if it means over the long run your product gets a bad reputation and sales eventually decline as a result? ... More

The building manager started out as a great asset to have in the area as we were moving in however, as time went on and more problems with the home occurred or cropped up he became less inclined to help or take responsibility for mistakes he had personally made; regarding our homes power and water supply line accounts in particular. I find this behavior to be inexcusable and completely unprofessional to not take responsibility for a mistake you made on a homeowner’s power supply application only to be made aware of it months after the homeowner had moved on, alert the homeowner that you were going to correct the issue and then proceed not to so that the homeowner then has to deal with complete loss of power and water because the accounts were never corrected. On days when it is 100+ degrees, it is not acceptable to not have any water or power supply and then be told by said building manager that it is not his job to call and correct the energy supply accounts; disregarding that he’d already said he would correct this exact problem three weeks prior. ... The workmanship was poor at best, the sales staff and closing were a disaster, the follow up with repairs has been, let's just say a nightmare. We purchased a new build Lennar home. We loved the layout of the house and the community is just what we were looking for. So, put up with the months of construction delays (never being informed properly about the progress) which forced us to live in an AirBnB for two months. We moved into a very dirty and unfinished house, It was not cleaned well after construction and all the issues we have raised beforehand were not addressed . So, our first few weeks / months in our brand new home was spent chasing Lennar. Poor job done by the painters, bickers, gardeners and an overall poor supervision by the construction team of Lennar. We been in discussion daily with the customer care rep. She do stay in communication with us and try to have all the issues corrected. I feel she is just as frustrated as we are. Unfortunately. we have had to spend most of our days off at home waiting for repairs to be done. We are still fighting with Lennar. It is just upsetting that we found a house we really liked and we walk into one problem after another. If I could have a do over, I would look for a different builder. The paint and the painters they use are the cheapest possible, there are spots where there is barely any paint. We have had 2 major leaks. No pad and apartment grade carpet which for a house that is over $500k is very sad. They say they put your front and back yards in, ok yes they do but they are put in by people who know nothing about landscape. No soil under the sod, the wrong plants. My husband and I had an awful experience with building and purchasing our home with Lennar. Our final home walk through appointment was cancelled one hour before we were to meet (after we had arranged to be off of work and had child care services lined up). The house at our final walk through was not finished (not cleaned with dead bugs everywhere, missing paint, holes in the walls/ceilings, all the blinds were missing, the seamless shower frame we paid for was not installed etc). We had to rush to close because Lennar forced us and we had to push Lennar for months to get everything fixed/corrected after we moved in. I feel the homes finishing was rushed and small important details overlooked and the KNOWOLOGY group is the worst. Slim to no response to resolve issues and lack of info and guidance

The team was great before the purchase of my home . After I moved in I have had multiple issues which are not addressed in a timely fashion . The quality of the work is poor and after being in my home for 4 months still have issues.

When it compares to other homes in the area, you get more square footage for less with Lennar, but the quality is much poorer. There are obvious design flaws throughout the home (we were told they were drawn into the plan that way so there is nothing they can do), and the sub-contractors for the most part took several short cuts. Occasionally, the Customer Care team responds to Warranty items, but not all the time. And when they do, they set a date and time for a sub to come repair the issue, and then the sub never shows up. They don't even give a courtesy call to let you know. The sales process was mostly easy and straight forward. I used my own lender and Lennar didn't like that, but I saved a TON of money. They said if I used their lender they would rebate me 2% of the home value (and that seems tempting), but trust me, they make up for that in other fees, etc. ... More

My home wasn’t ready prior to close. They had approximately 30 items on the checklist that needed to be addressed and corrected prior to close. I already sold my other home and needed to move. I had movers lined up to do so after I closed on my Lennar home. They asked me to close even know they were not close to complete and asked me for 3 additional days to finish the items we agreed to that were on my list to close. I should of trusted my better judgment & not close until the work had been completed. I closed & ended up moving into an unfinished incomplete home. They changed builders 3 times. It took 5 months to get them to come back out to complete the items. I had blue tape on the inside and outside of my home for those 5 months calling once a week to try to get them out. I had to go through warrantee, which didn’t make sense. Their reason was because I had already closed. They broke their promises & made it really difficult to get them back in. I ended up doing a lot of things myself. The 3rd builder that was supposed to handle the checklist claimed that he knew nothing about my list & was there to build the new homes. My home wasn’t on his list. He told me that I had to take the items of concern up with warrantee. The warrantee guy was not reliable & seemed to jerk me around. Most of the neighbors felt the same way and had very similar experiences. The sales folks & builders seemed to be on a revolving door. Continuous shell game. Love my location & home since I have gotten things fixed & adressed mainly from outside contractors & work myself. Very disappointed with Lennar and them allowing their employees to represent them in this manner. Most of the items would have been common sense solutions. They just had to touch things 3 & 4 times instead of taking pride in their work to do it right the 1st time. The painters & Sheetrock guys were approximately 90% of the problem. We had a wonderful experience with the sales staff and this review is not for our rating of them. We have had a very poor experience with getting home warranty work taken care of and have found the quality of the workmanship to be poor. We feel like some of the trades just slapped the house together and do not take any pride in their work. The tile and cabinet trades have been no-shows 4 times now. Terrible at following up with issues; way too many problems with house due to poor work by contractors and lack of attention to detail. This is the first home I have owned and I did a lot of research before purchasing from Lennar. I am so disappointed. They rushed to have everything done so they could have us in the house by the end of their quarter. I am reminded daily of their sloppy workmanship and how they cut corners to be done on time. Terrible experience and I deeply regret my purchase. Just one example—we have had a roof leak since January and as of today, 6/26/19, the issue has still not been fixed. I feel like since they have our money, they do not care about us any more and will continue to do the bare minimum to address our concerns and complaints until our 1 year home warranty is up and they can officially ignore us! ... The construction team is a joke! They do not care about any of your concerns throughout the entire building process. It is only a matter of time before the economy catches up with the condescending attitude of everyone in upper management with Lennar. We pointed out basic failures in construction standards from warped boards in framing through unacceptable drywall finishes all the way to the day of closing. Construction spent more time redoing work than they did with the initial supervision. Job sites were trashed and disregarded by superintendents, every corner that could be cut was cut, and every concern was dismissed when brought to the attention of anyone in customer service. Good luck Lennar, you are going to need it to learn the basic lessons of customer service and trying to restore any value in the future of this home builder. ... More

The purchase, closing and Walk Thru process was excellent. Amazing, smooth and professional experience. However EVERYTHING after has been a stressful, time consuming, unprofessional, unfair, disrespectful nightmare. If I am exaggerating, PLEASE I would welcome your feedback. I will not go into ALL the UNRESOLVED ISSUES at my new LENNAR Home; just going to give you a few examples. There is currently an OPEN Customer Care Ticket for LOTS of water leaking in our garage thru the Front Door pavers. I first reported this on the VERY FIRST DAY I actually moved in (JUNE 8, 2019). I sent a photo of the garage all full of water with the moving companies truck in the background. We could not unload most of our furniture because the garage was all wet. TODAY is SEPTEMBER 27, 2019 and you finally “sealed” the leak about 10 days ago, however the pavers directly infront of our entrance door STILL have not been replaced. However we have opened & closed SEVERAL tickets for this UNRESOLVED issue. Remember I 1st reported this 3 MONTHS AGO on June 8th. Would you call this great customer service for a brand new $450K home or unprofessional, pathetic and disrespectful? I still cannot install ceiling lights or fans because of ANOTHER OPEN TICKET well over two months old. There was water in the ceiling, which accumulated into the light fixtures. I was told it was condensation or the A/C might be leaking etc etc. I was also promised a mold inspection since water sat there for over two months without ANYONE even taking a look in the attic. Over a month ago, several members of your Maintanance team were at my home and we asked to go ahead and remove one of the ceiling fixture in order to see if I could finally install a ceiling fan. When one of your guys removed it, he got “SPLASHED” with water on his face. I believe Carlos Rodriguez, Teo, James and maybe Chris witnessed this. You can ask them if I am lying. TODAY 09/27/19 I still cannot instal a ceiling light or fan. You STILL haven’t done the Mold Inspection. And I am STILL paying $300 a month to have my stuff in storage. So how would you describe Lennar’s Custimer Care? 5-Excellent. 4-Pretty Good. 3-Average. 2-Below Average. Or 1-EMBARRASSING, PATHETIC and DISRESPECTFUL? I feel it it a (1) because there is not a (0).
