First off, I’d like to make it very clear that the following team members with Lennar have been phenomenal and are NOT the focus of this review: Sales Department, Loan Offices, Title and Closing, and Site Construction Manger. These have all be a great crew to work with and I do not want anyone to think ill of them. They have done everything in their power to deliver a quality product in a timely manner (ahead of schedule) to my family and me. They cannot be thanked enough. Sadly, the focus of the negative review is on the customer care field representative. He has been a disaster to work with and my family is not the only family to be played by him like this at Oxford Square. We and many others have had work orders open for months that have gone unfilled. These range from minor things such as missing trim pieces and cabinetry repair to slopping floors, and faulty CAT6 data writing. To date, our work orders have been open since December. We have had him visit multiple times to verify that the work needed attending to and he has left saying he would get the right people lined up to take care of our concerns. However, his follow through is horrendous and even possibly negligent. We still have multiple items of increasing severity that need addressed but he has yet to contact us or set up a workday for us to have the crews come take care of the deficiencies that need corrected. So far, I have wasted one day of paid time off to be here for crews that did not arrive. Prior to our last scheduled workday, I called to confirm that he and his crew would be here on February 14th as they previously advertised, and we agreed to. When I contacted him, he told me that the workday was canceled because his iPad had crashed four weeks earlier and he had not scheduled anything for us. It is now March 9th and our work order since last December remains unfilled and growing. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with this field representative that does not take the time to either schedule things in a timely manner nor keep the homeowners informed when plans need to shift. This is truly a shame. The community is quite lovely and in an ideal setting with brand new schools and walking trails. Sadly, the customer care team is failing to live up to their end of the contract by not correcting the deficiencies the home owners experience with their properties as outlined in the sale contract between Lennar and the purchaser. ... I am new owner of a Lennar home, but I'm having a hard time enjoying it. Besides (1) issues during the build, (2) a large (and still-growing) list of poor craftsmanship/building issues throughout the house, and (3) horrific customer service and responsiveness, Lennar made two particularly egregious mistakes while rushing to sell me a house by the end of their fiscal year. 1. Lennar sold me a house in the winter without heat on the top floor (bedrooms). The home inspection noticed that the heat pump wasn't operating, but Lennar failed to address the issue and sold the house anyways. 2. It took over two months after settlement to get internet service. This is because Lennar, the developer and builder, sold me a house without ensuring the street infrastructure was in place. We moved in 7 months ago and have had workers here over 10 times. Rude office staff, subfloor issues, flooring issues, broken dryer, issue with kitchen sink, broken raucouses, broken doorbell, hole in floor, broken tread on staircase, etc. Had we known Lennar had poor craftsmanship, we would never have purchased this home. The process of buying a house in itself is scary. So you think that buying a newly built home would be better. Wrong. Lennar used the cheapest materials, multiple issues ready. And later we get blamed for the issues so they dont have to fix it. If i could go back I would’ve approached this whole situation very differently, been more assertive with Lennar, and not have accepted things to be “fixed after move in”. What a disappointment. A few months in and already have a list of repairs that I have to pay for. Including changing the new floor which was done terribly but the company thinks they did it all right and Lennar sides with them. Shingles keep flying off. The sales team and the builder were amazing. I have had very terrible experience with customer service. My doorbell stopped working and it took 2 months before I could get it fixed. I have outstanding repair work, and I have had 2 no call no shows and last time a Manager actually stopped by and promised things will be resolved quickly. I have not heard anything. Part of my door was broken before moving in. It is still broken and no one has come to fix it. Overall, the customer service team are unreliable and don't particularly care about the customer. Quality is lacking from product to people at Lennar. They rush you to sign documents without explaining what you are getting that differs from the model. The sales people are rude and will tell you whatever they need to in order to get you in the house. This company and its people have no integrity. ... More

I will never recommend to anyone to buy a Lennar home. The quality of the materials (drywall especially) is pathetic. The workmanship is below average. Mistakes all over in what you asked for. . Looks nice until you uncover all the rushed poor workmanship all over the house.. This is my first home and i must say i am disappointed in the quality of the craftsmanship. I've been in constant contact with Lennar customer service to attempt to set up repair services to fix multiple issues within my new home. At first glance Lennar homes look like a dream. That is only at first glance. The quality and workmanship is horrible. Paint slopped everywhere, granite that doesn't quite fit, boards protruding from walls, baseboard separating from walls, doors that wont close or lock, electrical issues, misshapen walls/ceilings, patched holes EVERYWHERE, you name it, Lennar construction will mess it up and then try to hide it from you. Lennar support will then blatantly ignore all requests you make for service and do zero follow up to resolve outstanding issues. We have owned the home for 4 months and still haven't had follow up on issues despite reaching out to multiple levels of management on multiple occasions. Lots of empty promises and well.....disappointment! Put your money somewhere else, that's the best advice I can give. They're focus is on getting you to sign the dotted line, after that, they vanish and you're left with an overpriced home that falls apart before your very eyes. ... More

The overwhelming defects in our new home and the lack of response to our concerns is heartbreaking. We watched our home being built on a regular basis and pointed out deficiencies and wanted them addressed to no avail. We moved in and are now living a nightmare in trying to resolve workmanship and defective materials. Contractors and Manufacturers are at odds and we are their victim of circumstance.
