I am dissatisfied with how we received the exterior of our home. We were promised a finished product and the sod was laid down poorly the driveway was never power washed the exterior we did receive the touch up paint around the house. We had to request the windows to be cleaned. I didn’t have a wow factor when I turned the key to enter my home for the first time. Overall the home is build well it's the small detail that makes the difference. You can tell some thing were rushed and if quality control was done those things could have been avoided. Great pricing for the home. The team needs to do much better with communication. I had to make way to many calls to get things done, but once I got through to someone things were done. ... More

I had a smooth and pleasant experience with Lennar during the home buying process. But what I will say is that after getting settled in, I was able to see the rushed job they did in constructing the property. There are uneven places in the dry wall, unfinished areas under the island, nail holes that were never covered, messiness around the light covers. There are many places where nails are coming out of the walls and sure, there is a settling period and other homes being built in the community. But when pointed out they didn't want to take responsibility or fix it at the 3 month inspection. For a house at this price point, there just shouldn't be as much incomplete work done. ... More

The entire build process was great. Our sales rep kept us informed and although the lot we chose already had begun construction, Lennar allowed us to make several interior changes (floors, counters, and couple other items :) The one item Lennar MUST work on is their Closing procedure. On the day of close for our final walk thru/inspection, there were still 10 people inside working on the home! It is impossible to conduct a walk thru inspection to view potential deficiencies with construction still going on! Lennar should have pushed the Close by a day or two. Lennar robbed us of the new home experience on the day of close and left us with a bad taste. To their credit however, it did take a couple months, but Lennar did fix all the deficiencies in the home. The site manager unfortunately did not pick up on any of the clues about us being incredibly unhappy. During the final walk thru before Close, He arrived about 15 minutes late, on his phone and went right into his purpose of being there. He did not even introduce himself. I had to stop him, and introduce myself and my wife, and then once he finally made eye contact he realized that he was being unaware of his environment. He didn't do any of the basic fundamentals of an introduction to make us feel comfortable. After living there for a few months there are a couple of weird design flaws. For example, the exterior hose is on the wrong side of the house. It is away from the garage. How can you clean out the garage floor or wash your car? You need a 50/75 foot hose just to reach! With all that said, I do love my home. We have a Norwood Model and it really is awesome! I love coming home everyday, pulling in the driveway and can't help but smile, because this IS my home. ... The workmanship of the home could be better. The home is settling really quickly, showing some work that could've been done better. There are no walk-out basements which was not disclosed and no porch or patio out back which also was not disclosed. There is water pouring outside the back of the home constantly and I don't know why. This "new" stuff is not all that great. ... More

The process of purchasing my home was easy, but from my final walk through to after being in my home for a month, it was horrible. Issue after issue. It has calmed down now, but it shouldn’t have been like this. I honestly think it was due to the time I went to settlement. While I more than understand deadlines, milestones and budgets, I find it hard to believe that some things were just overlooked. Im not convinced that there were quality checks made to confirm whether or not a job was done right let alone completed before being signed off on. I have floor planks that are obviously not level, trim cut too long or short, rug already not laying flat (I barely have furniture), The more time I spend at home, the more I notice things that were missed or carelessly completed. Definitely tainted my brand new home buying experience. To top it all off, issues with the actual community have been turned over to a HOA that is unresponsive, unclear and definitely not present. ... More

We don’t like the quality of the tile job which was done in bathrooms, very uneven, visible damage on tiles and counter tops, cheap shower, ugly design. So we had to take down the whole master bathroom and rebuild it from scratch with new materials. Going to take down the carpets and that cheap hardwood floor which is falling apart already. No sound proof between townhouses, we can hear our neighbors very well. ... More

Being as though we’re a small family of 4, in our early/mid twenties, we were very excited to buy our first home! We’re on the bottom of the condos and it’s the worst! We can hear EVERY footstep from the top condo. We had to get a new garbage disposal installed two days ago (we just moved in Dec 30, 2020). We’ve noticed paint chipping on multiple walls and somewhat of a messy caulk work done in the shower. The garages are extremely small and tight. I don’t appreciate the fact that we’re not “allowed” to place the garbage and recycling bins outside. I hate the fact that neighbors complain about parking in the back, when in fact, a lot of us around here have 2 cars and should be able to park anywhere without complaints. Other than that, this home and community is great for first time home buyers (like us). ... More

We really like our house, but we were misled about our community and the quality of the house. Also, I can’t imagine worse craftsmanship. After living in the house for only two months, we have 30+ nail pops, cracked floor in multiple places, cracked windows, and a ton of other cosmetic issues as a result of them rushing. It just seems like the house was built to look nice for showings, but not last. The worst part is Lennar’s management will not respond to my calls or emails. I will not buy Lennar again. ... More

First off, I’d like to make it very clear that the following team members with Lennar have been phenomenal and are NOT the focus of this review: Sales Department, Loan Offices, Title and Closing, and Site Construction Manger. These have all be a great crew to work with and I do not want anyone to think ill of them. They have done everything in their power to deliver a quality product in a timely manner (ahead of schedule) to my family and me. They cannot be thanked enough. Sadly, the focus of the negative review is on the customer care field representative. He has been a disaster to work with and my family is not the only family to be played by him like this at Oxford Square. We and many others have had work orders open for months that have gone unfilled. These range from minor things such as missing trim pieces and cabinetry repair to slopping floors, and faulty CAT6 data writing. To date, our work orders have been open since December. We have had him visit multiple times to verify that the work needed attending to and he has left saying he would get the right people lined up to take care of our concerns. However, his follow through is horrendous and even possibly negligent. We still have multiple items of increasing severity that need addressed but he has yet to contact us or set up a workday for us to have the crews come take care of the deficiencies that need corrected. So far, I have wasted one day of paid time off to be here for crews that did not arrive. Prior to our last scheduled workday, I called to confirm that he and his crew would be here on February 14th as they previously advertised, and we agreed to. When I contacted him, he told me that the workday was canceled because his iPad had crashed four weeks earlier and he had not scheduled anything for us. It is now March 9th and our work order since last December remains unfilled and growing. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with this field representative that does not take the time to either schedule things in a timely manner nor keep the homeowners informed when plans need to shift. This is truly a shame. The community is quite lovely and in an ideal setting with brand new schools and walking trails. Sadly, the customer care team is failing to live up to their end of the contract by not correcting the deficiencies the home owners experience with their properties as outlined in the sale contract between Lennar and the purchaser. ... I am new owner of a Lennar home, but I'm having a hard time enjoying it. Besides (1) issues during the build, (2) a large (and still-growing) list of poor craftsmanship/building issues throughout the house, and (3) horrific customer service and responsiveness, Lennar made two particularly egregious mistakes while rushing to sell me a house by the end of their fiscal year. 1. Lennar sold me a house in the winter without heat on the top floor (bedrooms). The home inspection noticed that the heat pump wasn't operating, but Lennar failed to address the issue and sold the house anyways. 2. It took over two months after settlement to get internet service. This is because Lennar, the developer and builder, sold me a house without ensuring the street infrastructure was in place. In short, I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Lennar will rarely deliver on their promises, and even your basic expectations will not be met. ... More

The process of buying a house in itself is scary. So you think that buying a newly built home would be better. Wrong. Lennar used the cheapest materials, multiple issues ready. And later we get blamed for the issues so they dont have to fix it. If i could go back I would’ve approached this whole situation very differently, been more assertive with Lennar, and not have accepted things to be “fixed after move in”. What a disappointment. A few months in and already have a list of repairs that I have to pay for. Including changing the new floor which was done terribly but the company thinks they did it all right and Lennar sides with them. Shingles keep flying off. When you have a whole community talking how bad of a job they did, you realize the problem is not you but Lennar itself. ... More
