Working with Tim (sales office) made our experience perfect. We knew exactly what to expect every step of the way. He was extremely thorough, helpful, and patience plus his knowledge on the house, process, and products was amazing. I had complete trust in him. The construction managers were great. Funny guys, great with communicating to us and always always responded quickly and acted quickly. My only complaint was on the workmanship, mainly the painters. There was a lot of touch up work that needed to be addressed and there was/is paint on our hardwoods everywhere you look (now that we've moved in). I gave the overall buying experience only 3 stars because the closing date was postponed several times. Love our house but Lennar could have done much better with quality control. Didn’t even have a garage door night before closing. Chased for months to close items documented prior to closing.

I really like the house I bought from Lennar. Location is top notch. Finishing material is also very good. My experience with the sales team was also very good. Some finishing work is poor. Responsiveness is also poor. I have place a complain on a couple of electrical issues and never got anyone coming to fix them (or even to see what were my issues). Also my driveway, that was just done, is already showing holes on the concrete. Painting is bad. ... More

Unfortunately Lennar is more focused on selling houses than building quality homes and providing good customer service. My closing date was moved up three weeks but my house had numerous items that needed to be fixed. I was assured they would be fixed after closing. Five months later, some of these items still haven’t been repaired. I submit warranty items that need to be addressed and nothing happens. Lennar eventually closes out the ticket like it’s been completed, but it hasn’t! This has happened numerous times so I eventually call customer service. It takes months to get things fixed. I bought the house before construction. After paid deposit, it turned out the house was very not as good as expectation. The quality is bad and warranty team is bad.

There is no standard pricing on townhomes here as the prices are costlier for first time buyers versus investment home. Costlier prices for normal home than the upgraded homes. So, there is no standard trusted builder pricing as the prices going along the tide. Faster completion of homes, but no proper nailing & who knows what's gone inside the drywall ! ... More

Just know that if something is broken or not working properly be prepared to wait a loooong time to have it fixed because of mishandled scheduling issues with subcontractors. Also, the repair work can only be done on week days forcing you to take days off from work only to have the workers not show up which is incredibly frustrating. My home wasn’t ready prior to close. They had approximately 30 items on the checklist that needed to be addressed and corrected prior to close. I already sold my other home and needed to move. I had movers lined up to do so after I closed on my Lennar home. They asked me to close even know they were not close to complete and asked me for 3 additional days to finish the items we agreed to that were on my list to close. I should of trusted my better judgment & not close until the work had been completed. I closed & ended up moving into an unfinished incomplete home. They changed builders 3 times. It took 5 months to get them to come back out to complete the items. I had blue tape on the inside and outside of my home for those 5 months calling once a week to try to get them out. I had to go through warrantee, which didn’t make sense. Their reason was because I had already closed. They broke their promises & made it really difficult to get them back in. I ended up doing a lot of things myself. The 3rd builder that was supposed to handle the checklist claimed that he knew nothing about my list & was there to build the new homes. My home wasn’t on his list. He told me that I had to take the items of concern up with warrantee. The warrantee guy was not reliable & seemed to jerk me around. Most of the neighbors felt the same way and had very similar experiences. The sales folks & builders seemed to be on a revolving door. Continuous shell game. Love my location & home since I have gotten things fixed & adressed mainly from outside contractors & work myself. Very disappointed with Lennar and them allowing their employees to represent them in this manner. Most of the items would have been common sense solutions. They just had to touch things 3 & 4 times instead of taking pride in their work to do it right the 1st time. The painters & Sheetrock guys were approximately 90% of the problem. After moving into my first new home, I quickly learned that I should have done much more research on homebuilders before signing the initial contract. 15 of 17 of my neighbors, myself included, who all bought brand new $400k+ townhomes, have had the WORST first home buying experience with Lennar. Starting from our unreliable and gossiping builder to the terrible corporate warranty request process and service. During closing, the real estate attorney even stated that many other buyers have had similar complaints and issues with Lennar. While sharing my home despairs, I also learned of a family friend who bought a Lennar home built in 2014 who also had an unpleasant experience with Lennar. I have been in my house 4 months. The dishwasher, disposal and both thermostats had to be fixed or replaced. My roof has had to be fixed as well as my gutters.
