I a sense se are happy with our new home. The only issue we had is after you move and how responsive are the knolowgist. We have a lot of issues that still have not been taken care. For example our shower base in the bathroom we have on the master room came defective. A new shower base was put on but till this time have pass more than three weeks and we still not able to use it. All walkthroughs; initial and final needs to be better. At final walkthrough our home looked like it needed a lot of touchup that a 5 year old can see. Not sure why this was taken care of before we went so we could spend limited time we had on important issues. Aesthetically it just was ready. People who giving the walkthroughs especially for us the initial walkthrough here wasnt very good as the guy seemed like rushing us and gave us very litttle info on the home, eqiipment etc ... More

No basis to star rate last 2, so we provided a non-committal 3 stars each What does Trustworthiness mean in this context? And fortunately, we haven't had to judge that. But, I really don't know what you're looking for in the last two. We're basically happy with the house and the community. Annoying items: 1.No ceiling lights in bedrooms and living/dining rooms Lennar rep (mostly very nice and helpful) said some want lights, others, ceiling fans. Our solution: ask the new owners before finalizing. What a thought!?! 2. Ditto for kitchen faucet. No flexible hose spray nozzle. I don't think I've been in a home since the 60's that didn't have a sprayer. I'm having to have an outside plumber do it. 3. The front door opens OUTWARD. Almost everyone who comes in comments on that. Not very shopping bags and boxes friendly. The items above are not deal breakers, but certainly annoying, and we either deal with them with our checkbook or have 3 important negatives in what will almost assuredly be our final home at 74 and 68 years of age. ... While the sales contact I worked with did seem like a used car dealer, he did stay late to get the sale. Lennar hasbeen caught with their hands in the cookie jar a few times. Lennar owns Eagle Mortgage and Eagle Mortgage owns the appraisal company. This allows them to get to closing quickly, which is very nice for the buyer. It also makes it very easy for lennar to put loan packages together that it shouldn't. I am lucky, most of the process was easy and efficient. We are enjoying our new home, but as we actually live in the place we have started to noticed a few things. I think one of the biggest issues is a lack of quality workmanship. There are paint splatters everywhere, we even have a paint footprint in our entryway. Didn't notice it at first because it blends in with tile colors but when the light hits it just right....boom...there it is. Speaking of the tile floor...several high spots..nothing major...just enough to notice when you walk barefoot. Trim work....well a lot of chalk in some places to compensate. IN general a lack of care....we also have dried grout on our shower floor which so far I have not been able to remove. Is the house built well....I think so....I just wish they took more pride in their work. ... More

After moving in, in less than 2 weeks a couple of things in the house were deteriorating showing the poor workmanship and the cheap materials used to build the house. After moving in I opened a window due to the smell of cleaning supplies when opening the window all of the window seal came off. First time passing mop and a piece of the cabinet molding on the floor just came off without even touching it. The seal or caulking on the floor used to seal the cabinet totally cracked (all this after 2 weeks of moving in) On the master bathroom one of the sinks is fully loose, the seal or calking was poorly applied so the sink is fully loose. These thing I can maybe see happening after a couple of years being in the house but not 2 weeks after moving in. Regarding responsiveness they do respond but they do take their time, when moving there were some issues with appliances it was taken care off but I had to be on top of it, calling over and over would be promised a date and they would never show up and wouldn't answer messages in a timely manner. ... It was our understanding when making the decision on buying in this neighborhood, that there was going tp be a dog park and playground put in. I can't get answers on the timeline for thus and the one person who responded was the previous construction manager who said here doesn't think they're doing it anymore. Our sales rep Vivian was excellent. She was informative of the process and responsive with any and all questions. Jamal our managing rep however was the polar opposite. It started with no showing me on my initial walk through and having someone arrive an hr late to cover for him. Final touch requests weren't completed or done haphazardly (paint, etc.). I still have a broken rack installed in my linen closet I requested to be changed out in early December still sitting broken. The workmanship was lacking a lot. Flooring tiles uneven throughout. Dry wall was not even and to many of the screws were not covered. Garage floor was not troweled properly.

Take the time to check EVERYTHING on your walk-thru.... when an issue is discovered later (which is inevitable) it is difficult to get the problem addressed and fixed

Everything was good up to the closing of our property, we been having some serious issues within our landscaping, and after reaching to them several occasions for options in how to fix the issue, not for them cover the expenses, but for us to get guidance on how-to work the issue. This is a huge "red" flag in any future problems that might come up, which is a shame since everyone up to this point were been really helpful from Sales (Julie) and Finance (Alex) true MVPs. Good but not excellent. I gave the review good but not excellent because the structure of the building is good but the finishing touches is not great . The plumbing fixtures are very cheap we’ve been here for just four months and some of them are shaking from the walls already, The door knobs are very cheap as well And for a new homeowner I feel like you have to just move in and relax and not stress about stuff like that. Overall my house is nice. There are things that were shown and discussed that were changed or excluded by Lennar that I was not happy about. But once you are in the process, its hard to walk away.

I ran into issues but it wasn’t anything to drastic that would warrant a bad review. I do however think they rushed a lot of the jobs in my house like the paint, rug, cement in the garage, doors have defects, placement of the sprinklers were off, ceiling fans were missing, tried to charge 7k-9k for a fence that cost me 1700, st Augustine grass had an infection soon after moving in, which wasn’t covered under warranty . That’s just a few things. However, like I said it’s not enough for me to call the process bad I’d just like to see those things fixed in the future. Overall, I enjoyed the process of buying my home and the people I worked with made it a lot less stressful on my family. If I had to do it again I would still purchase with lennar due to their affordability, beautiful locations, and the builds they produce being top of the line. ... More

The materials appear to be excellent; however, regardless of whether or not it's a new home, get yourself your own inspector--my guy found numerous items that should have been caught during normal QA by the builder. That being said, Lennar has been fairly responsive to my issues--almost all of which have been satisfied, which is greatly appreciated...timing aside. Ensure that you have someone clean-up after closing; Lennar told me this would happen after my closing but, based on my findings, it did not. All in all, I'm happy in my new home and, generally speaking, am pleased (so far) with Lennar. As for the HOA and some ancillary things, you're on your own (based on my experience). ... More
