Lennar - The communication between staff was horrible.

The communication between staff was horrible. For example my husband and I would talk to someone in the loan department and would expect that message to be delivered to the each person on our mortgage case, but instead we would have to explain our self again and again for the same matter. We also had short notice when it came to gathering information to be sent over, and was then told certain things would be accepted but came to find out later in the home-buying process it’s not accepted. The communication was so bad that on the day of closing we didn’t have a time to close. We were waiting on a call from anyone at this point to tell us when to close, but we ended up having to reach out to them, only to have our time canceled at the last sec while moving our stuff into the uhaul trucks. The inspection that we had sucked, only because of the person demonstrating, Elaine. She did not allow my husband to check the plug-ins, which I think is a big deal since we are making a large purchase. Next bad experience was our loan officer I assume was fired and we had a replacement which made it even worst with the communication, because leading up until, it’s like we had to start all over again with our information gathering, nothing was passed on. We would have questions like anyone else in this strenuous process, but when we would call no one would answer and subsequently we would leave voicemails, only to hear back from them a week or 2 later. ... Lennar - The build of the house is amazing.

The build of the house is amazing. The construction manager and employees are awesome. The realtor we were in contact with from Lennar was so helpful. Our lender with Lennar was awful. Communication didn’t exist with her. Would no recommend using Lennar lender to anyone. ... More

The only thing good about our experience with Lennar was the sales rep. She was very nice and extremely responsive and helpful. Once we closed on the house, Lennar seemed to not care at all. They got their money and they wiped their hands of us. There have been so many issues already. We've been in the home only 4 months and have had to make a claim with warranty over 10+ times. There seems to have been absolutely no oversight on the build and it shows. ... More

The workmanship was poor at best, the sales staff and closing were a disaster, the follow up with repairs has been, let's just say a nightmare. Some things still are not fixed and if I had to guess are not going to get fixed unless I pay for someone to fix them. Everything included does not mean everything... but they fail to tell you what normal things are not included. First and LAST Lennar home

Too many imperfections caused by fast and sloppy workmanship. The entire process is rushed from start to finish. Everywhere I look I find issues with finishing touches. We just moved in and we're already thinking about selling.

Sales Agent did not disclose property was in a flood zone. Lennar Mtg Rep figures was way off and was not meeting VA guidelines. Was forced to sign punch list stating everything was completed to be able to close. If punch out list not signed it would cost the us the buyers. Lennar promised to complete the pending items on the list from April 2021 and it is now August 2021 and we are still waiting after several request made. Water leak in the house

Two days after we moved in, we found the bottom of our kitchen cabinets were wet. We contacted Lennar right away and they left us without water for 24 hours and drilled through the concrete to find the leak. Three weeks later, it turned out there was another leak which was the result of an unconnected AC pipe from the second floor, flooding the kitchen for a month. Lennar only blamed their contractor, Bayonet Plumbing, the entire time. 30+ people came in and out of our brand-new home for a month, leaving us impossible to stay home due to the construction in the kitchen. ... Worst buying home experience EVER!!!

Although this should have been one of the most exciting times in our lives....it was ABSOLUTELY the worst. If you buy a Lennar home be prepared for whole bunch of promises on the front end (before you sign) and be prepared after you sign to fight with Lennar over EVERY single issue that you have. (The warranty) Also, they switch up the rules for what they promised in order to meet THEIR needs and not YOURS!!! No one wants to take responsibility and they like to pay pass the buck. I strongly recommend getting a home inspection before the drywall goes up... it might save a lot of mental stress on your end. Also, document EVERYTHING!! ……….. Lennar focuses on quantity rather than quality! I moved in my new home in September and have had nothing but issues! I would never recommend a Lennar home to anyone.

I feel the homes finishing was rushed and small important details overlooked and the KNOWOLOGY group is the worst. Slim to no response to resolve issues and lack of info and guidance

The mortgage company with Lennar has horrible customer service. They treat their clients like crap after all the effort they put into buying their homes. I'd never buy with Lennar again.

If you are going to purchase a Lennar home be sure you can be onsite everyday looking at the construction being done. The workmanship was not good on our house and we will be putting in rework tickets the entire year during our warranty period. I never take these surveys but always will for Lennar. Out experience has been atrociously poor. 1 star is not a low enough rating. Ridiculous amount of issues with house and horrible customer service.

Unhappy at this point

From the day I bought this home it has been a disaster. On the day I bought the home they were an hour late at the title agency and didn’t even have a room for us to close in. Then we ending up closing on a fold out table with some random guy who farted in my husbands face. Then our mailbox key didn’t work for over two weeks and then they had to rekey the mailbox. When we called our sales guy he said this has been a issue with a lot of home buyers. Why weren’t we warned before we moved in? On top of that the quality of the home is mediocre. I have lumps in my carpet, my floor creaks, the paint rubs right off the walls, the tile in the master shower grout has come up all over, the shower door creeks. The list goes on, every time I contact my rep it takes days for a response and I honestly don’t think I will every buy a Lennar home again. I own two homes my other home was built in 1978 and I have never had an issue, I bought this new home and have had more issues that I can count. ... More
