Many finishing issues and double work for subs to come back and fix. Had issues with garage floor, paint, garage door etc

I do like the design of my home and the neighborhood but the workmanship was poor. I believe this was the construction was unsupervised and many things were wrong. Some of the problems were: the painting quality was poor, the tile work was not done properly, the front door was hung improperly, the kitchen cabinets were damaged, the sliding glass doors were damaged, the workman leave trash all over. Completion date: remember the completion date is only an estimate of when the home will be available for occupancy. Home structure: make sure roof and plumbing do not have defects which could result in leaks. Finishing work: look for cracks in crown molding, drywall, paint on pavers and flooring etc. ... More

I have purchased six homes and this experience by far was the most disappointing. Once you sign contract to purchase home the communication ends. There was no formal sit down process nor schedule given to keep you abreast of the process. Was not encouraged to meet or speak with the construction manager. There is no pride in workmanship when building. Also response time in taking care of warranty issues needs to be improved.

Lennar uses 100s of contractors, so there is no accountability for work that will require follow-up once you actually own your home. The walls are thin and provide no sound proofing, this includes the thin aluminum windows that seep air/moisture. They use matte paint throughout, even in the kitchen and bathrooms. "Upgraded Cabinets" means they are white in color- they are made of soft wood that will show even slight dings from regular use. The bathtubs are made of plastic and carpet will look worn and tired after less than 6m, even if you do not have pets or children. Roof leaked after rainstorm. Many small repairs needed, e.g., painting, draws sticking, door locks not working, problems with pool fence, shelves in cupboards. Lennare has repeatedly dropped the ball. They have not done anything that told us they would do when we bought. We closed in good faith, because they agreed to to fix avery long list of problems with our home. They have made excusses, take short cuts, tried to misslead us.
