After our 30 day of occupancy, we still have incomplete items from initial walk-thru. These include cabinet replacement and scratches. There are also paint touch ups and door sanding and painting that need to be completed. We must say we are very disappointed in interior door and cabinet quality. The stucco and paint repairs to popouts were very sloppy. The wrong paint was used. You can see exactly where repairs were made. These concerns remain on on the punchlist. ... More

A struggle to get follow up after move in. Small repairs are difficult to get addressed. Can’t file work orders if they don’t close the last one. Only one request can be submitted at a time, even if they ignore your current request, your blocked from reporting issues, such as small leaks and it seems they are just very busy. ... More

We love our new Fulton Home. The smart home features are great. General workmanship is solid. We have had a few issues. One small electrical issue that is to be expected with a new home. Issue with sliding glass door, which seems that it may be a recurring issue due to materials used. Fulton could be quicker in response time. Overall, Marlin and all of the contractors have been great to work with. ... More

Our closing date was pushed back 2 months because of covid. We were lied to about our appliances. Our appliances were not ordered until the day AFTER our orientation. They’ve never come back to fix little things that were supposed to fixed at the 30 day mark. Other than that, the home is gorgeous and we are very happy that everything worked out. ... More

Our sales agent Beth was amazing! Extremely responsive and always addressed matters quickly. We actually switched lots AFTER signing a contract and she facilitated the entire experience with ease. The design center experience with Arlene was also great. She addressed all issues when switching builds. After moving in, we had a few issues which is pretty normal and typical. However, we had a lot of HVAC problems which is a major part of the home and should have been treated as high priority given the extreme temps here in AZ. Chas Roberts had to repair our HVAC system 4 times and it still doesn’t seem to work properly. Gabe, our customer service agent provided by Fulton was great. Very responsive and I can tell he was genuinely trying to help us. The problem is that all the subcontracted companies don’t provide the same level of customer service or care as Fulton. All customer service requests take potentially weeks or even a month to address depending on the subcontractor. Most of the workers have a really bad attitude and don’t want to be addressing customer service issues. So existing customers like myself get stuck with low quality service and craftsmanship from the subcontracted companies. For example, the internet access provided by Fulton through Century Link is a low quality plan that made it extremely difficult to get technical support leaving us without internet for days. This will hinder anyone working or running a business from home. It feels like we were provided excellent quality service during the buying process but that quality diminished after moving in. ... Fulton Homes has strict guidelines that didn't allow me to add a fourth bedroom within the ten day period. Within that period I asked to move the service door and this could not be done. Overall the home has good value and the people were pleasant to work with! ... More

Fulton Homes responded:
We give the each buyer 10 days after contract to make all decisions involving structural options, because we apply for the building permit. After that time, the permit has been ordered and structural options are finalized.

This is our second Fulton home. Our first Fulton home was in Freeman Farms. Overall, we were very happy with our first Fulton home. We owned it for 6 years and and it was well built. When we decided to downsize, we purchased another Fulton home. We visited the model home several times before buying. Fulton had a video on a loop playing on the TV with employees testifying to the quality and customer satisfaction. We trusted that any issues we had would be taken care of. We had 2 issues that Fulton refused to correct that we pointed out in the walk through. The first was a seam on the kitchen counter top that was very noticeable. Normally the seam should be in the middle of the range top so its much smaller and less noticeable. I know this because I am in the kitchen remodeling business. In order to cut costs, they use less material and the seam becomes more obvious. We told the manager that did the walk through that we were not happy with the seam and wanted it fixed. He told us there was nothing he could do and we would need to go above him to get any results. Basically washing his hands. The second issue was this. We asked the sales women for electric outlets over the kitchen cabinets so we could install cabinet lighting after we moved in. Before the walk through we noticed there was no outlets over the cabinets in the kitchen. However, there was 2 wall outlets in the hallway at 84" high which looked very odd and we would never ask for. Apparently, the outlets we asked for in the kitchen were installed in the hallway up at 84". Obviously someone screwed up. When I pointed it out to the project manager during the walk through, he agreed that it must be a mistake and would talk to the sales women that entered the electric details. Again he washed his hands of the situation and gave it back to the sales women. She refused to do anything to correct the situation. Now I have electric outlets in the hallway at 84 " that look ridiculous and no outlets over the kitchen cabinets that we paid for. So for these reasons, I can only give Fulton 3 stars in 2 categories. Would I buy another Fulton home? Probably, but not sure. Richard A. ... More

Fulton Homes responded:
Richard ,

Thank you for returning you review and also thank you for investing in your second Fulton Home. As far as the seam in the countertop is concerned, please go on your "My Fulton Home" account and list the item under Warranty request. We will send someone out to look at it. We looked at the light fixture situation and we installed everything correctly that was written on the contract. We are sorry if what was written on the contract was not the same as what you were looking for, but we really have no way of knowing. Thanks again,

Escrow documents... 1>Special Warranty Deed was not explained during the signing of the construction of the house and during the escrow day. 2>During the Orientation day, there were issues that was verbally mentioned but the answer was" we do not do that in this orientation day."2.1> I mentioned about the space between the granite top with the undermounted sink... needs caulking and 2.2>Exterior Upper wall..the upper wood wall have spaces.. NOT PROPERLY mounted showing spaces. It needs caulking because over time..that space will be the source of rain water leaking inside the house. 3> I emailed Justin for the works needed but I did not receive any acknowledgement yet. Justin said to sent him all concerns when I occupy the house which I did. I needed some action regarding my complains and also the landscaping is not done yet to date. ... More

Working with Ali has been a pleasure. The workmanship, responsiveness, and their lenders can have improvement. Due to COVID issues we have not been able to travel to Arizona to see the new house so we are unable to provide accurate feedback at this time. If you could delay the survey request by approx 4-5 months it would be appreciated.

Thanks for your response. This is an automated system, and we have no way of knowing when people will not be moving into their new homes. The Covid 19 pandemic has caused many unexpected occurrences, and please be assured that we will be ready to assist you in any way when you do move in.

The home and floor plan are beautiful. But this builder is too busy to pay attention to detail and provide a clean move in ready home. If you have a simple repair, be prepared to wait weeks. Or make appointments and don't show up.

The inspection done with the very kind, Mr. Rick seems to be a waste of time. Orange tape everywhere, and the only thing they did was remove the orange tape. It's taken 4 months for them to finish the texture and paint, but many areas still left to be done, but waiting for pandemic to end, so they come back to finish. What once was a blissful experience, turned nightmare dealing with horrific crew in charge of vendors coming to the house. Thank goodness for people like Melanie P, and Martin, they seen to care. ... Fulton builds a decent home but I was not prepared for the level of dishonesty from the sales office or the inexperience and multiple errors from the design center employees. My advice would be to get a copy of everything you sign by taking a picture of it with your cell phone. I signed one document and was never provided a copy. It disappeared and it caused a serious problem for me. If you can do upgrades through another contractor after you close, it will save a great deal of money. My closing date was delayed by 4 months (and it was prior to the virus). In all I would say that Fulton is a very big company and they sell plenty of homes so they really don't care about an individual client in a hot housing market. The message I was given was that if you complained about poor service, then Fulton can just cancel your contract and sell your home to someone else at a profit since this is a hot market. (and that is exactly what the VP threatened to do to me). I'm sure customer service will improve now that the market is slowing down due to the virus impact. I would also say that customer service since I moved into the home has been much better. ... More
