Kept telling us things would be ready and they were not - could not get mail for 4 weeks due to their not doing what they should do with the post office and could not get Internet for 3 weeks yet they kept telling us it would not be a problem. They have fixed some f the issues but we have to keep reminding them. Employees are always nice but higher ups do not give them the real information. I have had a problem with my grass before I moved in but was assured that it would grow! Once I closed on my home the grass still did not grow! I contacted the leasing office & was told with watering the grass would grow. Well for about a month we had monsoon rain & still no grass. I do believe that I received a bad batch of sod as SEVERAL of my neighbors moved in AFTER me & they have a great lawn. I have contacted them MULTIPLE times but my belief is that to them this is a non issue! I feel they no longer care because they already made the sale..... This is my 1st home purchase & what s/b a joyous occasion is NOT! I AM VERY UNHAPPY!!!!! ... More

Started out good but now, four months in. Not impressed! Seeing / finding more flaws with the quality of workmanship. We had leak from the bathtub above the dining room which was fixed. However, we have seen no one to fix the water damage in the ceiling caused by the leak since it happened. We going on 2 months since that occurred. We starting to notice more flaws as well. Stair treads, gutters, lack of caulking, and other things here and there. Biggest concern for me is the amount of material I am discovering buried in the yard. Wire, silt fence, bricks, lumber, concrete, roofing and so on. Again, not impressed! But good luck this seems to be the norm! ... More

The size and space of the home is everything that I wanted. Compared to pricing in other communities was a reasonable deal. With that said, it is true that you get what you pay for. Prior to my closing I saw a plethora of things that needed to be either repaired or replaced. The builder made me feel as though my concerns were not valid and pretty much brushed me off. if wasn't until after I made several complaints to corporate that something was done. There are still a lot of things that need to be addressed. I was made promises from the builder that certain issues would be taken care of back in October. It is now the end of January and I am still waiting. Customer service is nice but not effective. I have requested several times to speak with someone/receive a phone call to address my issues. I am still waiting for that courtesy call. I have sent photos, emails, text messages and all of my issues are still not being resolved. My "New" home feels like it is 10 years old. I was sooo excited about buying a home, but Century ruined all of my expectations. The attention to detail and basic craftmanship is not evident. The work is clearly sloppy and full of patchwork and carelessness. It is clear that the builder and the contractors do NOT take pride in their work and craft, and delivering a quality product is not their priority. The only priority is to build a house- not a "home" as quick as possible to turn a profit. I would definitely NOT recommend Century Communities, and I will NEVER purchase from them again. Buyer remorse is real. My opinion may have been different had they addressed my issues from the beginning and showed a little more respect. ... More

I was referred to Century Communities by a friend whose home had been built by CC. I really loved the way his home looked inside and out. It also appeared to be well built, so I decided to go with CC and have a home built with them. Apparently over the course of time CC made changes to its included features list and a lot things my friend got with his home were now taken off the feature list. I was lucky to be able to get blinds included but only in the front of the home. Going to the showroom was very overwhelming since everything has to be picked that day and no changes can be made once you've signed. I find that the homes are built to quickly and that no one knows how to use a tape measure or a level. I'm also still trying to understand why the builder couldn't show me a color picture of what the front of my home is suppose to look like. He only had a blueprint. I've gone onto the warranty page to submit some issues I had concerns with. That was on October 24, 2019 and I'm still waiting to be contacted. I've also spoken with the builder in my subdivision about some of my issues. Although he and his assistant are very nice, they can't remember everything. Although I do love the style of my home, I just wish that the workers took a little more pride in their work on the interior of the home. I'd just like to let future homebuyers know to check every nook and cranny in their new home before signing on the dotted line. ... More

We love our home but all of the ongoing issues we have had and are still fighting to get corrected have been beyond exhausting. From sewage leaks to roof leaks to an incorrectly elevated front porch (those are just the bigger issues) it has been never ending since moving in and therefore left us little time to enjoy the benefits of owning a new home. Unfortunately, it will make us rethink buying a home from Century in the future. One of the biggest disappointments has been the lack of care that was put into the drywall throughout the house. There are crooked ceiling lines in almost every space, more putty marks than you can count and the nail pops are literally visible from across the room. I am horrified to think how difficult it is going to be to paint these walls. THIS is not something a new home owner should even have to think about. Brand new walls that need more putty that you can carry; some of which could only be corrected by tearing the drywall completely out and replacing it. There was obviously very little accountability with the contractors who left this mess behind for YOUR CUSTOMERS to deal with. If all the issues we were “assured” would be taken care of during the final walkthrough had ACTUALLY been completed CORRECTLY in a timely manner, we would likely have a better evaluation to offer. However, from the roof to the front porch we are still waiting, four months into living in our new home. On a final note, if we wrote down all of the issues we have had, it would be a very long list. Therefore, we are not at all happy with the quality of our home purchase at this time. We are giving two stars because the Customer Service Rep -Hirut Tinsae, has done her very best to assist us and is always kind and professional. ... More

Love the style of home, but I continue to encounter issues around workmanship and poor follow up from the company. For instance, I Had a warranty issue and though I followed the online process per the builder, I never received a call from the warranty department to complete the process. I contacted the community warranty leader to get the job done. From the time I reported water damage to the time of completion of the issue and the aesthetics was well over a month, for an issue that could have been addressed in one day. No “crew” was onsite for more than 20 minutes to correct my problem. But Very frustrating to take lead on getting each crew out, as the lack of response from the warranty department was huge. After the initial call, I never heard from the department again. Overall, The paint job and quality of the building of this home was very poor and the crew that executed the work was unskilled and unprofessional. The theme that rings clear to me in this community is you get a bang for your buck, so the lack of quality is to be expected. Very disappointing. Pictures available and my home is always open if anyone cares to visit for confirmation of my claim. ... More

I purchased my home in September 2019. Century is now refusing to complete warranty work unless I remove my domestic partner from our home due to a few strongly worded emails he sent to the warranty manager after poor communication from Century as to when repairs would be made. I now have a damaged floor, damaged exterior column, cracked tiles in the master bath shower that remain in disrepair. Someone from Corporate needs to get involved as we do not trust the Atlanta legal and mgmt team. We would like to avoid a lawsuit. All I am asking is that Century meet its contractual obligations & complete the warranty work without spurious restrictions as to who can be in the home while the repairs are being made. ... More
