Beazer Homes - Everything went pretty well up until moving in.

Everything went pretty well up until moving in. The day of closing the stairs still had not been stained but I was assured it would be done by the time I moved in later that day. When I arrived later that evening to move in I noticed the stairs were the wrong color from what I selected in the design studio. I immediately emailed the builder to let them know of the discrepancy. Additionally the stairs were still wet so it created a mess as the movers moved in furniture. Several days and emails later, I had to push back very hard to get the stairs re-stained to the color I originally selected ...

Beazer Homes responded:
Betsy, we appreciate you reaching out. We would like to apologize for the concerns with the stain finish of the stairs and handrail in your new home. The feedback you have provided has been shared with our leadership team, and we will be looking into this further. A member of our team will reach out to follow up with you soon. I bought a home from Beazer and it wasn’t a good experience. I consider myself a good customer and go with the flow. The few questions I had during constructions were ignored. My one request to replace a bad board where my tv was going to be mounted was ignored by the lead builder. Straight up ignored me when I asked about the board. And now that I have closed on the house Beazer won’t return my txt or calls. I think they blocked my number. I have been here couple months and still not receiving my mail. Post office says it’s an issue with the builder but I can’t confirm that since Beazer ...

The home buying process was fine, no issues there. My issue with Beazer is they will tell you whatever you want to hear just to make a sale. I purchased my home in October and prior to closing I gave the builder a list of things I needed fixed/repaired before closing. He assured me everything would be done but when I closed it was not. To start, my doorbell did not work, I did had huge, deep scratches on two of my cabinets in the kitchen that was not there prior to viewing the house initially. There was mortar missing from the brick on my patio, the light in the utility room didn’t work like ...

We have had multiple construction issues from leaking doors to a dead weed filled lawn. Why do they wait until closing before issues are fixed. This builder needs aome leadership at all levels improving on details and customer service. Beazer could be a better builder if they raised their standards and took pride in their product.

Unfortunately, the agent we were dealing with was removed for whatever reason which is understandable, but his replacement April didn't seem to understand professional courtesy. She absolutely refused to respect boundaries. She continuously called the buyer (myself) and when I requested that she speak with my agent, she would disregard my request and treated my agent with disdain. I really appreciated the extensions when it came to closing, but she wasn't pleasant and she continued to make unprofessional suggestions. For example, once the financing was secured, she suggested that finance ...

Our home was not even close to what was originally scheduled which created quite the financial burden on us as we had to move twice, pay for storage and overpay on short-term leases. Now that we are in the home we have an array of issues from flooring, sub-flooring, poorly installed cabinets, damaged tiles, roof leaks, damaged countertops, drywall cracks/water damage, incorrectly installed doors…the list goes on…we are essentially living through a renovation vs the turn-key home we were expecting. Delayed multiple months from initially quoted build time, house was not complete, very little care or response from the sales agent, builder, or company. The house was obviously not cleaned, big muddy boot prints left in the carpet, drywall dust all over everything, nails and screws had to be picked up up all over the property. We worked with very nice people that did not tell us the entire truth throughout the process. We have been in our home for over a month with the sloppiest new home finish ever. Once you close, forget about customer service. Also, we've built with three builders and Beazer is by far the worst at paying attention to details. It's the small things in the house that make it a home and the workmanship and attention to detail is very poor. We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and expect a perfect home.
