Mike serves as President and CFO of BlackPine Communities. With the experience and wisdom of nearly three decades of homebuilding – in both custom and production operations – he leads the company’s overall vision, strategic planning, and business development.
Mike has held several regional and national positions with Kimball Hill Homes, a $1.1 billion national homebuilder based in Chicago. During his eleven-year tenure at Kimball Hill, he served as Division Controller/Purchasing Manager, Northern California Division President, and Sr. Vice President of National Supply Chain. Prior to launching BlackPine Communities in 2010, he served as CFO for a Northern California commercial real estate company, and as CFO for a start-up drilling contractor with operations throughout the western United States.
Throughout his career, Mike has been recognized by the industry for his innovation, procedural disciplines, and visionary leadership. He holds degrees in agricultural economics and finance from California State University, Chico.
