Lennar sells a great product! Value was important and we definitely received that with our new home. As with any new home, there will be some issues that have to be addressed after purchase but Lennar’s CustomerCare team is quick to respond.

The Lennar home buying experience went well except for one thing. I had an unexpected medical issue and asked for an extension on the closing date. Lennar denied it and it almost cost me the home.

The area to live in is great. Very near a brand new Publix Market & shops, many golf courses within 5 miles. The houses are very well built and priced correctly for the area.

Sales team (James) was very supportive and helpful, even months after the sale. Resolution of punch list items was handled slowly but very professionally and thoroughly by Lennar staff (Danna).

*The sod that surrounds our home is not good quality - more like one would find in a field. *No gutters in rear of house - water comes off the roof like a waterfalls, causing a hole in the lawn and mud and water splashed into the lanai. *All the covers are either missing or broken that covers lawn watering (a request has been submitted some time ago to have this addressed and it still hasn’t been). *A request had been submitted some time ago to provide support to a planted tree in front, and this has never been addressed to date! ... I do like the design of my home and the neighborhood but the workmanship was poor. I believe this was the construction was unsupervised and many things were wrong. Some of the problems were: the painting quality was poor, the tile work was not done properly, the front door was hung improperly, the kitchen cabinets were damaged, the sliding glass doors were damaged, the workman leave trash all over. I have purchased six homes and this experience by far was the most disappointing. Once you sign contract to purchase home the communication ends. There was no formal sit down process nor schedule given to keep you abreast of the process. Was not encouraged to meet or speak with the construction manager. The houses should have gutters on the sides of them..... The houses are built so close together that when it rains the water runs off of both roofs so hard and so fast that the water cannot drain into the ground fast enough and it creates a big mud pit between the two houses. They want to charge me $800 for each side of my brand new house to put in a drain and regrade the ground to fix the drainage problem. Why should I have to pay to regrading the ground or to install a drain on a brand new home. ... More

Completion date: remember the completion date is only an estimate of when the home will be available for occupancy. Home structure: make sure roof and plumbing do not have defects which could result in leaks. Finishing work: look for cracks in crown molding, drywall, paint on pavers and flooring etc. ... More

There is no pride in workmanship when building. Also response time in taking care of warranty issues needs to be improved.
