We were very please as to how many times we were included with inspections and any questions that we would have at that time. We were very happy that our Project Mgr would email us on Fri to tell us how much has been done to our new home. if we saw a problem it was corrected on a timely manner. We visited several Del Webb Properties before buying at Bexley. Bexley is great but I’m disappointed with the entry way. Our fountain is nowhere near the others we saw. The entryway should set the “tone” for what’s inside.

The communication and responsiveness during the sales and the build process were superb. Never any issue with reaching someone to answer a question. We know we have a really good house. Our only issues were around the design center where staff was not well informed of our options and colors shown to use on paper in no way accurately reflected the actuals. Process of picking and buying house was very good. Post closing has some issues regarding denial of some what we thought was warranty work. Issue with thermostat unresolved as vendor skipped appointment.

The homes are built with top notch materials but since the finished product depends on humans to bring it all together the buyer still needs to pay close attention to details. We are still cleaning up grout overage on floors, sloppy concrete drips on garage floor, poor paint coverage, just lack of care of the details. Stuff that a buyer tends to gloss over in the "celebration" walk thru. When choosing a Del Webb development, understand that it will be a community of active people, mostly retired and ready to enjoy the rest of their lives. The most important thing to know is, these are cookie cutter homes, the developer will not bend or change their scope of work. Once you sign on the dotted line, that is it. No changes allowed. Keep an eye on every detail of the building process. The many different subcontractors are not necessarily experienced, licensed or caring of their craft. You will care more about the end result than the individual vendor. They go thru the motions and move on to the next house. So buyer beware, ask questions, stay on top of things. Overall nice home but the craftsmanship was terrible many do overs.....multiple times on same items.....still not remedy on paint and drywall issues.....we do understand we have time to get remedy but tile concerns electrical concerns plumbing issues....would not recommend this builder though supervisors and sales people were great, selection of upgrades and explanations were not a good experience due to lack of explanations ... VERY HARD TO WORK WITH. PULTIE WILL NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES. MY HOME WAS NOT BUILT AND I WANTED TO MAKE SOME CHANGES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE PERMITS AND THEY REFUSED.VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEM.

All we can say is make sure all your needs are met before closing. If they are not do not close. You will find Pulte is not a custom builder but a track builder, which is a big difference.

Beware of all aspects of your construction. The workers do not know how to use a level. They state, “ if it is within a 1/4 inch it meets our standards”. Nice if I want a barn. Much of what you say goes in one ear of the Field Manager and out the other. They focus solely on saying yes and then nothing is done on simple things. No cohesiveness amongst their team at this time. One says one thing and another does opposite. They do not value comments or REALLY listen to what the person is saying. I love my neighborhood and my neighbors but it shouldn’t be my job and time to make sure things are done correctly. The sales people and construction managers are very nice and friendly but the quality of their trades people is poor. I am talking from the painter to the lawn people, poor quality. The required or recommended contractors (pool builder and window coverings don’t call you back to remedy problems. The only time I have received a timely response is when I contacted a company Vice President or regional president. They told us that one month after closing they would call and make an appointment for our one month warranty issues and it’s been six weeks and no word from anyone. The swale between the houses have standing water and my back and side yards look lousy. However the yards at the models and ready to move in spec houses look beautiful. You will pay a premium price for extras but receive sub-standard work in many areas. ... More

Have been very disappointed in quality & customer service. This is the fifth new home experience we’ve had and definitely the most disappointing. It’s been a fight on every issue from having a toilet moved that was off center at a shower, kitchen island top seam that was ragged & filled with the wrong color material, corian master shower wall cap that was rough cut and uneven (never was made right) to the poor housekeeping & cleanup on delivery. We’ve had promises made and not fulfilled along with tradesmen filling our occupied home with dust from cutting our quartz countertops & corian because their dust control equipment wasn’t working. This is the home we spent our lifetime working for along with paying in excess of a half a million dollars for the experience. We expected a better product from Pulte as well as positive responses to our concerns. We haven’t met a neighbor home buyer yet that’s had a painless experience. We’re still dealing with issues several months after taking delivery and spending more frustrating hours dealing with poor quality work and unfulfilled expectations. Total lack of attention to details. Subcontractors are more concern to getting the job done fast with many errors. Which needs to repair at later date. In summary we paid custom home prices for a tract home.

In my opinion this is a cheap home. What are considered upgrades are really subpar accessories to the house. They push you in the beginning to make choices that are not changeable. I noticed subpar framing strips in the home prior to putting sheetrock up. Our flooring that we picked at the design center was different than what we saw on the flooring a home that was almost finished. We had a hard time changing it had to be done at their time instantly caused us to make a bad choice. Put down pavers then painted house. Paint all over pavers want them replaced so far nothing. Air-conditioning was not working right had them have someone come out. AC 2as 1-1/2 pounds low on coolant. System was not set up. Tech that came had to do it. We had lived like this for a month. Can't wait to see our electric bill. Cabinet drawer fronts are all loose. called in about it would only replace one. told we have to live with others. Sprinkler system not working correctly even after tech has looked at it. Its just a subpar home cheaply made. Del Webb/Pulte is a difficult company to work with. No is their favorite answer and want money for changes. The stockholders of this company I am sure are happy with all the money they are making using cheap products. Got my money should be happy. I guess after they read this they will pat themselves on the back and consider it well done ... More
